Ku-ring-gai Chamber Evening Networking event

The dreaded disease, INFLATION, is back! | WED 13th July, 2022 |6PM – 8PM 

There are two major enemies of business: tax and inflation. The last bout of serious inflation was in the eighties when inflation was over 10% and interest rates went over 18% and even as high as 22%. Peter Vickers was there helping clients as he started his practice in 1979.

Inflation and high interest rates require a completely different response from business that we have been used to in a low inflation and interest environment. Peter will explain how you need to change your business to cope with high inflation and high interest when he recovers from the shivers down his back from the memories.

If you want to survive in business you MUST change the way you operate.

Peter has 2 degrees, he studied at University of Sydney, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) of the Tax Institute. Peter is an authorised representative under the Corporations Act and is licensed to give investment advice. He is a registered tax agent, a registered company auditor, a registered SMSF auditor,  an external examiner for the Law Society of NSW and a Justice of the Peace.

Peter has won various battles over the years against the Australian Taxation Office. He even convinced the Australian Securities and Investments Commission that Singapore does not have a separate capital city.

Peter has three daughters and eight grandchildren and is a keen skier and accomplished sculptor.

Business NSW’s Karen McLean will also attend the evening, presenting the “Benefits & Entitlements of joining a chamber”.
